FRCR part 1 Examination
FRCR Part 1 – Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists

FRCR part 1 examination comprises two modules: Anatomy and Physics.
Anatomy is examined by an image viewing session delivered on individual workstations and Physics by a multiple-choice written question (MCQ) paper.
The physics module covers UK ionizing radiation legislation, patient safety, and the physical principles that underpin diagnostic medical imaging and is tested in an MCQ exam.
Candidates must achieve a passing score in both modules to achieve an overall pass.

What are the eligibility criteria for the FRCR radiology exam?

Anyone who is undergoing radiology training or has completed training can attempt FRCR Part 1. There is no minimum training requirement.

Dates, fees, and venues

The examination will be held in March, June, and September each year, It’s available in the UK, Egypt – Cairo, Hong Kong, and Singapore 3 times a year. Further information can be found in the dates and fees document.
