What does the exam include?
FRCR is a three-part test that includes both theory and practical assessment:
The FRCR CR1 test includes dissection papers and physics, both of which must be passed independently.
-
- Anatomy paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), which are based on identifying anatomical structures with arrows on images from a range of imaging techniques.
- The physics paper consists of 40 true/false questions, each containing a statement and a question with five questions.
It covers the principles of ultrasound, membranes, tomography, MRI and nuclear medicine, as well as radiation safety and protection that includes legislation for ionizing radiation (medical exposure).
The FRCR CR2A test includes a six-part standard assessment test that is relevant to the key elements of the radiology curriculum.
It is a single SBA test with two two-day sitting papers, each consisting of a 3-hour examination containing 120 questions.
The FRCR CR2B test has three components:
- Rapid reporting session.
- Longcase reporting session.
- Structured evaluation has two parts.
- The rapid reporting session lasts for 35 minutes as the candidate is asked to review 30 radiographs. Cases are chosen to repeat the ones usually encountered during the preparation of the daily reports of the emergency department and general practice exams.
The longcase reporting session lasts for 60 minutes with the candidate writing a report for six individual cases according to a standard format. Each case may include radiography, computerized tomography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, or MRI.
What does Connect Academy do for you to help you pass this exam?
After a careful analysis of the performance of the tests and the feedback from students who preceded the exam, we at Connect Academy divided the problem into two main issues that most students face, namely the lack of understanding of the basic theories, and the failure to focus on preparing for the form of the test. Narrowing options to determine the correct answer is more difficult than expected.
We know that it is easy to get lost in the classroom with many students to ensure that you get the personalized education you need. All of our classes are taught by the most qualified lecturers who have already successfully passed all parts of the fellowship/equation you wish to obtain.
Course details:
The course consists of 3 parts that include both the theoretical side and practical evaluation, and for each part of the exam there is a separate course eligible for the exam:
